Kenneth Karuko is a multi-disciplinary leader dedicated to the philosophy that communities hold the inherent blueprints for their own transformation. As the Founder and Executive Director of Oldonyo Orok Youth CBO, Kenneth bridges the gap between technical expertise and community-led action.
With a rigorous academic background in Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Nairobi, Kenneth pairs scientific precision with financial and regulatory acumen. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) Associate, a unique combination that allows him to navigate the complexities of sustainable development, fiscal accountability, and environmental stewardship.
Kenneth’s work is fueled by a profound belief in the power of lived experience. By championing youth-led initiatives, he ensures that those closest to the challenges are the ones driving the solutions. He is not just an advocate for the community; he is a partner in unlocking its potential.

Eli Lanet Parit serves as a cornerstone of our leadership team, bridging the gap between technical precision and social responsibility. As our Programs Lead, Eli oversees the strategic execution of our initiatives, ensuring that every project is delivered with maximum impact and operational excellence.
Eli’s professional approach is rooted in his background in Agricultural Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). This rigorous academic foundation equipped him with a systems-thinking mindset—the ability to analyze complex challenges, design sustainable solutions, and manage resources with meticulous accuracy. Whether he is optimizing program workflows or scaling community outreach, Eli applies an engineer’s eye for efficiency to the world of social development.
Beyond program management, Eli is our Designated Youth Safeguarding Officer. He is deeply committed to creating “Safe Spaces” where young people can thrive without fear of harm or exploitation. His expertise in safeguarding includes:
- Policy Architecture: Developing and implementing robust safeguarding frameworks that align with international protection standards.
- Risk Mitigation: Conducting thorough audits of program environments to identify and neutralize potential risks to youth participants.
- Capacity Building: Leading workshops to sensitize staff, volunteers, and stakeholders on child protection protocols and ethical conduct.
Crisis Response: Serving as the primary point of contact for sensitive disclosures, ensuring every case is handled with the utmost confidentiality, empathy, and urgency.

Emmanuel serves as the vital bridge between our organization and the rural Maasai pastoralist communities we serve. With a keen understanding of local dynamics, he ensures that every initiative is culturally resonant and strategically customized to meet the unique needs of the youth.
Emmanuel holds a Diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). He leverages his background in management to streamline project delivery while maintaining a deep, person-centered approach to community development. His work is defined by a commitment to sustainable growth and the empowerment of the next generation.
